Diesel Mechanic / Driver at Hire Resolve

Job Description

• A leading manufacturing client is seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic to manage vehicle maintenance and operate articulated heavy vehicles. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping fleet vehicles in optimal condition while safely driving and delivering cargo on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Safely operate articulated trucks to transport cargo to designated locations.
• Ensure all loads are transported safely, securely, and strictly on schedule.
• Identify, document, and report all vehicle defects and maintenance issues promptly.

Requirements

• Valid Code 14 (EC) Driver’s License. - non-negotiable!
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP / PrDP).
• Proven experience in operating articulated trucks.
• Hands-on mechanical experience in diagnosing and repairing diesel vehicles.
• Strong commitment to road safety, load securing, and transport schedules.
