    Diesel Mechanic

    Job Description    

    • Manage all equipment
    • Schedule maintenance of all equipment - mainly hysters, Bendi and trucks (external)
    • Service all equipment as per the schedule - ensuring minimal breakdowns

    Repairs :

    • Trouble shooting
    • Heavy equipment repairs
    • Trucks
    • Hyster repairs
    • Mechanical tools to be repaired

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Educational Requirements    

    • Matric
    • Traded tested

    Experience Requirements    

    • Minumum of 5years working experience as a Diesel Mechanic

    Skills and Competencies    

    • Attention to details
    • Work independantly
    • Overhaul equipment by stripping, examining, replacing and repairing faulty parts, then reassembling
    • Hands-on person with excellent problem solving skills
    • Diagnostic and fault finding skills
    • Basic knowledge of condition monitoring and troubleshooting.
