Digital Designer at Novus Holdings Ltd

• Novus Media Sport is seeking a skilled digital designer with video-editing abilities to join our production desk and help shape the visual voice of two of South Africa’s most iconic soccer brands: KickOff and Soccer Laduma.

Key Duties and Responsibilities    

• Play a central role in the production desk by creating visual content for the digital channels.
• Conceptualise, design, edit and publish daily content across editorial mediums.
• Edit short-form and long-form video content where required.
• Manage your design workflow and execute designs according to briefs.
• Collaborate with sales and commercial teams to support and enhance native campaigns.
• Assist sales teams with presentation design and visual assets.
• Use AI tools to support content creation, optimisation and multimedia production workflows.
• Monitor performance analytics and contribute to strategy adjustments to maximise reach and engagement.
• Support with print executions, as, and when called for.

Educational Requirements    

• A completed national diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Digital Media, Visual Communication, or a related field.

Experience Requirements    

• 2–3 years of experience in digital graphic design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and InDesign.
• Experience managing and publishing content on major social media platforms.
• Ability to write clear and compelling basic social media copy.
• Strong time management and punctuality, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Basic understanding of AI tools relevant to design, content creation and multimedia production.
• Broad understanding of digital media best practices, including SEO and GEO principles.
• Understanding of media law and applying best practices.
