    Digital Marketing Consultant Temp - (Revised-Advert)

    Type of Position:    

    A temporary placement for 6 months maternity leave relief based in Sandton within VW brand department, responsible to collaborate with Global teams, local departments and agencies to integrate digital marketing assets, to enhance digital analytical capability and provide intelligence on Brand Marketing.

    Job Description and Responsibilities    

    • Manage and maintain global website CMS and related data systems, keeping data up to date and accurate, to ensure relevance and data reliability.
    • Manage and maintain analytics systems and processes to provide the VW Brand insights and best in class SEO tactics.
    • Work with Global teams, local departments and agencies to maintain, develop and source new website content and support SEA and social media activities.
    • Support advertising campaigns by the Volkswagen Brand with relevant website and social media content across owned platforms to promote the Brand’s digital presence.
    • Manage content across all owned online platforms (Volkswagen Website, Social media platforms, email marketing) to keep information relevant and deliver on digital marketing objectives.
    • Provide digital contribution in advertising campaign analysis to measure success of campaigns and provide insights for future campaigns.
    • Tracking the campaigns progress and updating online assets.\
    • Analysing and reporting of online activities across all online platforms in order to meet campaign KPI’s.
    • Collaborate frequently with other internal Volkswagen teams responsible for website data (Dealer data, Online lead forms, Car configurator, onsite content personalisation systems) and social media activities in order to maintain accurate information is reflected on the digital platforms.
    • Benchmarking of overall social media plans against key competitors to gather market intelligence and, where necessary, adjust campaign tactics.
    • Stay up to date with the latest in digital user journeys and implement innovative first to market activities.
    • Developing various digital marketing materials and collating content to support the campaigns. 

    Education and Experience    

    • A formal 3-year National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree from a recognised tertiary institution, preferably in Marketing/ Commerce/ Communications Management. 
    • Training or Certificate in Advertising/ Brand Strategy/ Systems/ Digital Marketing will be considered advantageous. 
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in digital marketing 

    Skills, Attributes & Other requirements    

    ESSENTIAL:

    • Exposure to the development and running of digital/ online campaigns. 
    • Have managed social media communities, including website content and updates. 
    • High level of industry knowledge and awareness of latest industry developments. 
    • Basic understanding of Search Engine Optimisation and Search Engine Advertising (SEO and SEA) 
    • Knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) 
    • Knowledge of web analytics 
    • Analytic understanding and ability within the field of online marketing 
    • Strong understanding of digital platforms 
    • Intermediate computing and applications skills 
    • Strong ability to multi-task with attention to detail 
    • Self-driven, hardworking, solution-oriented 
    • Ability to recognize and creatively solve problems/ resolve queries. 
    •  Capable of working under pressure 
    • Ability to work closely within a team. 
    • Strong communication skills (across teams) 
    • Excellent writing and speaking skills. 
    • Strong Brand affinity and ability to promote technology and marketing. 
    • A high level of energy, enthusiasm and work commitment
