As a Digitalization Catalogue Assistant you will be working alongside the strategic catalogue marketing manager to assist in the process of digitization and optimization of our extensive catalogue.
This role involves actively working through line item by line item as prioritized to ensuring catalogue meta data is verified and populated in various formats including that of label copy and adhering to production processes, with the release planning team. In addition will be required to support with key optimization audits and feedback findings and gaps for optimization.
These activities will include but not limited to planning, quality control, metadata management, assist with the co-ordination of converting physical music media (vinyl, cassette, CD, etc.) into high-quality digital formats and dealing with service providers to ensure the appropriate delivery of such music media for production while ensuring compliance with digital preservation standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for preserving important collections through digital means.
What you'll do:
Accurately input metadata and catalogue information into appropriate documents and platforms to accurately update digital database
Convert physical music media (vinyl, cassette, CD, etc.) into high-quality digital formats
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to priotize digitatisation projects and meet deadlines
Ensure the accurate and consistent application of metadata standards to digital assets
Prepare reports on progress and outcome of digtaisation projects
Conduct quality control checks and audits including researching various platforms to ensure the integrity and quality of digitized material
Manage the digital asset management system, including organizing, storing, and maintaining digital files
Maintain detailed records of digitisation processes, equipment maintenance, and inventory of physical media
Organize and maintain digital files in a systematic and easily accessible manner
Who you are:
Proficient in MS Package (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word & Excel) and IT related systems.
Experience in digitisation projects and digital asset management.
Proficiency with digitisation equipment and software
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Strong understanding of metadata standards and practices
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
