Divisional Supervisor - Electrical & Hardware Department
The purpose of this job is to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory or market segment by effectively selling the company’s products and related services, by sourcing new customers, doing follow ups, maintaining and increasing the business sales this includes personally contacting and sourcing and securing new business accounts and customers in such a manner that achieves good customer service, resulting in achieving customer satisfaction in order to generating sale and promote the business and creating sustainable as well as profit margins.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and achieve growth by 10% per month
Manage business operations in the assigned division to achieve company goals by having a 5-minute meeting daily with team.
Evaluate division performance and recommend new strategies for performance improvement every trimester.
Resolve business issues and ensure that all escalated issues are closed daily
Address any inquiries from customers and team members in a professional manner daily and no longer then 48hrs
Identify resources, assign workloads and manage schedules to ensure timely deliveries daily by implementing checklist.
Ensure that team in compliance with targets as well as company policies and procedures.
Assist in recruitment, performance evaluation, development, promotion, retention and termination activities.
Identify monthly skill gaps in reports and provide appropriate training proposals to team and management.
Develop and enforce best practices to ensure operational efficiency by ensuring staff adhere to SOP.
Successfully plan, set targets control customer service improvement.
Recommended cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and productivity.
Identify areas of improvement and concern and develop action plan to report monthly.
Compile a SWOT report every month by the 7th
Reduce dormant for the division by the end of every month to below 1% of stock holding.
Do stock control for the division including special orders weekly and yearly in February.
Submit all Performance Contract for the division monthly by the 5th to the manager
Submit a copy of all reports, meetings with your department by the 30th of every month.
Do performance evaluations of staff every 4 months.
Ensure 100% compliance with housekeeping and health & safety and 85% compliance in merchandising standards.
Ensure shrinkage of 1% of turnover.
Clearing special orders every week.
Ensure stock holding no more than two months of stocks
REQUIREMENTS:
Matric or 3x Completed Intercept courses equating to a total of 120 credits.
Qualification in Business management
5 Years Supervisory experience
10 years of Hardware experience
Internal stock system knowledge
Ability to Initiate and Chair Disciplinary Inquiry
Training/Experience with Talent Acquisition
Ability to communicate clearly & Effectively (verbal& written) at all levels
Planning, time management, leading and organising skills
Monitoring and Evaluation skills
Problem solving & strong decision-making skills
Ability to understand relevant legislation
Good customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills
Excellent team leader with lots of self-motivation
Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office (Internet, Emails, Word & Excel)
