As a Document Automation Editor, you will be responsible for designing our automated templates and working effectively with an international team on their delivery. You will be confident with legal drafting, automation design and implementation, and support the Global Document Automation team to deliver effectively. This role sits within the global team, where you may be asked to support content from all regions as required, within specific standards and frameworks.
Responsibilities
Enhancing legal templates with automation within defined standards.
Writing questions that will prompt users to give the answers necessary to complete the template.
Clearly communicating challenging automation design to specialists.
Supporting the maintenance and delivery of automated content.
Quality testing content built by other Document Automation Editors to against agreed standards while also supporting resolution of bugs in content.
Learning and gaining experience of all elements of automated template development to support all workstreams.
Working with the global team and your line manager to improve existing processes to make them more efficient, and to document and implement all improvements effectively.
Reporting progress, updates, difficulties/blockers to your line manager.
Requirements
Have solid legal knowledge with the ability to read, analyse, and understand legal documents and identify drafting requirements.
Have at least 2–5 years’ of experience in a legal or legally related professional environment.
Be comfortable with technology, automation, and working at the intersection of law and tech.
Have impeccable analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to perform QA, testing, and troubleshooting on automated documents.
Be able able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, largely virtual, global team.
Be an Admitted attorney or prior legal practice experience (Nice to have)
Have Previous exposure to legal tech, document automation, or rules based drafting tools (Nice to have)
