Draughtsman at Unique Personnel

Role Overview:

• We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Draughtsman to create and modify engineering drawings using Tekla Structures, SolidWorks, SigmaNest, and other relevant systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to interpret and generate DXF files, prepare complex schematic drawings, and ensure precision in all drawing results. This role requires a combination of technical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare engineering drawings manually and using Tekla Structures & SolidWorks systems, with occasional limited design work.
• Interpret and generate DXF files as required.
• Read and understand detailed drawings; use Vernier callipers and tape measures for accuracy.
• Accurately replicate drawings and ensure all are double-checked for precision.
• Prepare complex schematic drawings from rough sketches or oral instructions.
• Create detailed drawings of steel structures, including pictorial and isometric views.
• Produce detailed layout, assembly, and working drawings; manage and index drawing files.
• Efficiently nest plates using SigmaNest and other relevant nesting software.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Tekla Structures, SolidWorks and SigmaNest.
• 3-5 years of experience in a relevant engineering environment.
• Ability to interpret and generate DXF files.
• Strong skills in reading and understanding engineering drawings.
• Experience with measuring tools such as Vernier callipers and tape measures.
• Demonstrated accuracy in drawing and design work.
• Ability to create detailed and complex schematic and assembly drawings.
• Experience with steel structure detailing.
