Driver (Heavy Duty) at Gauteng Department of Health

Requirements :

• Grade 10 /12 with 3 years’ driving experience.
• A valid code 10 (C) drivers’ licence with valid PDP.
• Knowledge of relevant Legislation
• Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS)
• Act, Batho Pele Principles and Government Fleet and transport policies will be an added advantage.
• Must have good leave/absence record. Ability to perform routine tasks.
• Ability to work under pressure. Sound interpersonal relations.
• Good Communication and sound Human Relations skills.

Duties :

• Deliver clean and collecting soiled Linen from Hospitals and Clinic’s.
• Counting of Linen bags before uploading and off-loading with the presence of Supervisors.
• Transporting food to Client Hospitals.
• Inspection of vehicle before and after every trip.
• Report any default to Transport Officer. Ensure fumigation of vehicles before and after every delivery.
• Adhere to Health and Safety Policies. Adhere to transport Policy. Punctuality. Willingness to working shifts and overtime.
