Driver Trainer at DSV

This position is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract. 

NB: This role is based between our Head Office in Pomona and our Rosslyn Branch in Pretoria.         

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: 

• It is the responsibility of the Driver Trainer to interpret telematic data and intervein where there is a shortage of skill or a need to motivate and instil good driver practice.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

• The person will be dealing with new technology in terms of rating drivers based on their fuel consumption and driving habits.
• The driver trainer will spend time travelling with the drivers and asses and monitor those that are high risk.
• The driver trainer will maintain records of driver behaviour and track improvements so drivers are able to meet KPI’s

JOB RELATED REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric essential
• Must have a code 14 driver’s license
• A minimum of 5 years as a driver trainer.
• Experience in training on all types of trucks and trailers with a focus on super links. (e.g. Volvo 440 and upwards).
• Own vehicle for travel at work essential
• Ability to travel Nationally when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Code 14 Drivers license essential
• Relevant training or facilitator courses would be beneficial.
