Education Specialist (EGD/TEC) at Optimi Learning

ABOUT:

• Optimi is currently looking to hire an individual with strong education background to join the team. The ideal candidate should have the ability to work well under pressure and be deadline driven.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma with a professional teaching qualification
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience in teaching EGD/TEC
• SACE registered
• Must be fluent in English & Afrikaans
• Must be computer literate
• Ability to pay attention to detail and be accurate
• Adaptability to change

DUTIES:

• Manage quality assurance of allocated subjects
• Manage client queries and communication for relevant subjects including email, telephonic and other communication
• Undergo training and professional development if necessary
• Understand and apply CAPS and the assessment requirements as indicated in the study material/facilitators’ guides
• Development of study notes and assessment tasks and plans
• Provide academic support or advice regarding relevant products for e.g. GuidedLearning, Products, PATS and orals
• Provide guidance to assessment coordinator regarding possible examiners/developers of assessments
• Planning, preparing and facilitation of sessions to be presented at Lynnwood Optimi campus and online classes on various online platforms
• Innovate and suggest new teaching models that will address the future needs of education such as increased independent learning and critical thinking.
• Facilitation of PAT sessions
