    Educational Sales Consultant

    Oxford University Press is looking for an experienced Educational Sales Consultant to assist with promoting and selling of OUP products and partner titles to schools, booksellers, and other customers to meet sales budgets.

    Reporting to the Western Cape Regional Manager, the Educational Sales Consultant will work closely with all the various divisions within OUP. This post is based in Cape Town.

    Principal Accountabilities:

    • Delivering and exceeding sales targets
    • Build and secure trusted relationship with public, private and independent schools
    • Promote OUP educational materials to drive sales growth
    • Maintain a well-organized sales pipeline
    • Develop and execute sales plan for designated sales territory
    • Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Develop high level relationships with district officials and key booksellers
    • Conducting product presentations and facilitate exhibitions for educators
    • Arrange workshops and events in designated sales territory

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Valid driver's license and own transport
    • National Diploma or equivalent in Education, Marketing and Sales
    • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
    • Proven track record of building high level relationships
    • Key Account experience
    • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
    • Understanding of the South African education and school market will be advantageous
    • Experience in Educational sales will be advantageous
    • Strong CRM skills
