• A leading energy and infrastructure company is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong experience in Eskom-related electrical systems, alternative power solutions and wheeling arrangements to join their team in Pretoria. This is a contract-based opportunity with the potential for permanent appointment in future, suited to a senior electrical professional who can provide practical expertise across complex power and energy requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Provide senior electrical engineering expertise across power and energy-related projects.
• Work with Eskom-related electrical infrastructure and requirements.
• Provide technical input on alternative power solutions.
• Advise on electricity wheeling arrangements and related requirements.
• Support the business with technical decision-making around electrical power solutions.
• Apply practical industry knowledge to support current and future energy requirements.

Requirements:

• Electrical Engineering qualification, either BEng or BTech Electrical Engineering.
• Senior-level experience within the electrical engineering and energy environment.
• Strong understanding of Eskom and its electrical infrastructure and requirements.
• Proven experience with alternative power solutions.
• Understanding and practical experience with electricity wheeling.
• Strong technical and practical knowledge of the South African energy sector.
• Candidates with extensive industry experience, including those who may be retired or semi-retired, will be considered.
