ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Equipment operation and maintenance in underground mining operations particularly within the shaft infrastructure
Plan and execute routine, preventive & corrective maintenance
Analysis of data from planned maintenance process
Determine priorities and prepare for planned work in area of responsibility
Maintain an adequate supply of spares and components to minimize down time
Commercial competence and understanding of SLA for subcontractors
Leadership experience with subordinates, Mentoring & coaching of subordinates, Communication
Provide a safe, secure, and sustainable environment for employees.
Communicate any sub-standard conditions and actions to the rest of the team to prevent re-occurrence.
Analyse systems of work to identify maximum capacities
Draw up a maintenance schedule and ensure it is followed to prevent breakdown maintenance
Analyse department budget requests to identify areas where reductions can be made & allocate maintenance budget
Confer with administrative personnel and review activity, operating, and maintenance reports to determine changes in programs, systems & operations required to improve outcomes
