Overall responsibility for electrical automation technology asset care (maintenance and troubleshooting)
Execute defined maintenance strategies/routines, related to industrial electronic equipment
Continuous improvement of mill reliability KPI’s related to electrical automation
Keep up to date with, & support the implementation of new technologies
Perform Millwide electrical automation technician standby as required
Coordinate & support plant electrical team with problem problem-solving
Provide input into database of BU electronic failures to facilitate system reliability reviews, skills improvement and quick reference guides for typical technical problems
Your profile:
S4 or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (heavy current)
3-5 years of solid experience in heavy engineering / production experience in Electrical Automation related to the heavy engineering pulp & paper industry
1-2 years technician-in-training programme would be very advantageous
Excellent understanding of electrical automaton technology including but not limited to VSDs, PLCs, DCS, Motor Control technology, electrical system protection relays, recti-formers, engineering PCs and Servers and basic IT.
Good understanding of industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Serial bus communication etc)
Good understanding of Siemens Simatic Manager, TIA system, ABB800 XA, In-Touch SCADA etc
Functional Safety Systems, Advanced Process Control & Distributed Control Systems (Valmet DNA DCS, would be advantageous)
Proven experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical automation systems
