Job Description
THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

• To repair and maintain plant and machinery in order that optimal production can be realized.

Responsibilities
WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• To ensure that machinery used in the mill and packaging is correctly maintained, and is safe to operate
• To reduce breakdowns and increase machine availability
• Provide technical support and training to machine operators
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections
• Follow the Preventative maintenance program
• Compilation and updating of equipment registers (safety gear)
• Maintain critical spares list
• Maximise performance on all equipment
• Complete job cards; log books and inspection reports
• Compile electrical drawings/schedules for plant

Qualifications
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Qualified, trade tested electrician 
• At least 2 years’ electrical experience in manufacturing environment 
• Maintenance experience of milling and packaging machinery will be an advantage
• Computer literacy, including exposure to computerised maintenance management systems
