Electrician - Mogalakwena Mine at Redpath Chilena Construcciones & Cia. Ltda

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent N2
• Section 13 Trade Test or Section 26D as a qualified electrician
• At least 3 years’ underground shaft experience
• Competent B certification is an advantageous,
• Valid Driver’s License
• Medically fit

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Equipment installation, repair, and maintenance in Decline infrastructure
• Workshop procedures, Installation, and maintenance
• Legal requirements as per Mine Health and safety act
• Installation and maintenance of machinery including HT switchgear
• Maintenance of quality engineering standards
• Knowledge of environmental, health and safety standards
• Working knowledge of the Mine, Health & Safety Act and Regulations

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Report all incidents and accidents
• Risk assessments must be carried out for each task
• Ensure tools and equipment is sufficient, in good condition and safe to use
• All legal inspections must be carried out according to the time intervals and a true report is recorded in the record book
• Report and act on all unsafe conditions and unsafe acts
• Be responsible for his/her sub-ordinates, maintenance schedules are to be adhered to,
• The individual is responsible to carry out the planned maintenance as per the maintenance schedule
• Ensure that all the spares and tools are available for the service
• Ensure that the housekeeping in the workshop/working area is adequate to carry out maintenance work
