    Employee Relations Consultant (3-6 Month Contract)

    The Role

    We're seeking an experienced mid-level Employee Relations / Labour Relations Consultant for a 3-6-month contract duration at a Large FMCG company based in East London, Eastern Cape.

    • N.B. Position is to start immediately, so we're seeking immediately available candidates.
    • N.B.B. This is a short term Contract role - not permanent. 3 Month contract, to start.
    • N.B.B.B Applicants from East London and surrounding areas are preferred.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Handling of grievance and disciplinary action.
    • Manage CCMA cases (Conciliation to Arbitration).
    • Knowledge of Unions and Associations engagement.
    • HR & ER policies implementation.
    • Constantly review developments in the ER field to ensure effectiveness and alignment of knowledge in ER team.
    • Ensure that procedures are compliant with legislation.
    • Advice management on the most appropriate cause of action when decision relates to function.
    • Effective two way open communication with employees.
    • Provision of accurate ER related information.
    • Guide the HR Partner on the law in SA

    Desired Experience & Qualification

    • Minimum of 3-5 years' Employee Relations (ER/IR/LR) experience
    • ER/IR Experience within Blue Collar is preferred
    • Diploma / Degree / BTech / Advanced Diploma: Human Resource Management or Employee Relation
    • Post Graduate Diploma: Labour Relations or Certificate: Labour Relations (Advantageous)
    • Available for a minimum of 3 month fixed term contract

    Package & Remuneration

    • Negotiable, mid-range (3-5 years' strong experience)
    • 3-6 Month Contract
