Construction monitoring of construction activities including the oversight of contractors and ensuring that contractors meet critical project deadlines.
Monitoring the Contractor’s progress against the approved programme.
Keeping a daily site diary and doing weekly reporting of site activities to the Employer’s Agent (EA) / Engineer.
Completion of project administration including payment certificate preparation.
Ensuring compliance with the Bosch Projects ISO 9001/2015 QMS System and attending to site inspections to ensure full compliance with internal and external audits.
Reporting daily to the EA / Engineer on project implementation activities.
Referring design changes to the EA / Engineer.
Liaison with the Contractor’s Site Agent with regards to all aspects of the work.
Assisting the EAR Assistants (ARE’s) in liaising with the relevant service providers to co-ordinate the alteration/relocation of their services.
Assisting the EA in compiling minutes of site meetings with the Contractor and Client.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A B.Sc. or B. Tech qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent (Professional Registration preferred).
5 Years’ experience in site management of Roads and Services Projects within an urban environment – (8 to 10 years’ experience preferred)
Good knowledge and understanding of General Conditions of Contract, 2015 and experience in preparing responses to contractor claims.
Experience on eThekwini Roads Projects will be an advantage.
The ability to function independently and as part of a project team.
