Engineer - Pavements at AECOM

Job Description

AECOM South Africa is looking for Engineers for the delivery of diverse local and international projects. Key responsibilities would be the design, preparation and management of road pavement designs using specialist modelling software.

Job Summary:

• Preparation and management pavement design models and drawings for road design, rehabilitation, reseal and other road materials
• Preparation and management of road pavement designs and drawings, reports, bill of quantities
• Design and modelling of road pavements
• Applying the AECOM Quality Management System (QMS) in all work
• Knowledge of Pavement Design Codes, and other relevant standards will be advantageous

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• High competency and specialist design and modelling of road pavements
• Minimum of four years experience in the design and modelling of road pavements
• Proficiency in specialist Pavement Design software
• Good knowledge of the SANRAL and Western Cape Provincial Governments design procedures will be a benefit
• Experience working for Transport Authority clients in the USA, Canada and Australia will be considered favourable
• Experienced using common data environments Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM360) and Bentley ProjectWise
