Engineering Change Coordinator - Pretoria at Faurecia

Main purpose of the role

• The ECR Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that product changes (new product launches, product phase- out) are taken into account within procurements and production process.

Essential responsibilities and duties

As a ECR Coordinator, your main responsibilities are as follow :

• Update systems related to engineering changes (Bill of Materials, logistics convention)
• Manage application dates of product modifications according to engineering change procedures. 
• Maintain special relationships with program and production and logistics teams.
• Define and assume the logistics conditions necessary for the launch of new programs and serial changes.
• Ensure that changes are taken into account in production scheduling, material planning, and within physical flows : identify appropriate packaging and introduce changes concerning border production line procurements stocks and towards suppliers
• Manage phase out files : reduce obsolete stocks to minimum levels and reorganize file in order to obtain reimbursement from the customer.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Education : National Diploma in Mechanical engineering or equivalent.

Knowledge and experience :

• Process engineering or a minimum of 5years of experience in manufacturing engineering and ECR.
• Under stand Faurecia Excellence System and program management system.
• Good technical skills on product and process.
• Strong communication skills including english language.
• International mindset.
• Master the whole tasks and is able to synthesize them within a production line/shop floor.
• Languages: Ability to speak, write and read the English language.
