Engineering Dispatcher at Anglo American

Job Description:

As an Engineering Dispatcher, your responsibilities will include:

• Control, monitor and coordinate engineering processes and progress to ensure set production targets
• Effective communication between all relevant role players is ensured to optimize MTTR of equipment.
• Ensure accurate down booking of engineering downs on the Modular system.
• Manage the shift handover process to reduce inefficiencies associated with this process.
• Monitor the data capturing by operators and automatic event logging by the system to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Monitor equipment maintenance process to ensure optimal availability during shift.
• Monitoring and management of the in-shift maintenance activities ensure optimal equipment availabilities(O4R).
• Manage the maintenance handover process to reduce inefficiencies associated with equipment utilization.
• Events and activities are punctually logged and reported to the relevant key stake holders.
• A printout report regarding downs that influence availability of equipment are forwarded to relevant personnel immediately after shift.

This role is in the Engineering HME department on a band 7 level and reporting to the RRT Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 / N3 certificate Minimum (please attach proof to application)
• Diploma in Engineering or related NQF 6
• Fitness for work as per Mine Health and Safety Standards.
• Trade certificate (advantageous)

Experience:

• 3 plus years Engineering experience in the Mining engineering environment (open pit mine)
• Experience as an Artisan in Mining engineering – Heavy Mobile Equipment
• Computer Literate
• Dispatch System (Modular) (advantageous)
