Engineering Lead at Nedbank

• To shape, contribute and to integrate a solution across the technology stack, from database and DevOps infrastructure that supports continuous deployment. 

  Your role:

• You will have a range of responsibilities from shaping, implementing and leading delivery of strategic solutions ensuring that the customer stays on the leading edge of technology.
• Generate innovative approaches and solutions to complex issues.
• Design solutions that require creative investigations of alternative architectural solutions – High level solution design and Detail level solution design.
• Design detail solution architecture using new technologies in consultation using the patterns approved by Enterprise Architecture and technology domain SME’s.
• Collaborate with the Architecture team to identify the right technologies to be used in the applications

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience in development and design (Application, Infrastructure, etc.).
• Bachelor Degree in either Information Systems, Informatics or Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent work experience).
• Information Technology Architect Certification (ITAC) (Open Group).
• TOGAF Foundation Training
• TOGAF / Zachman Certification

Experience Required

• Experience in managing the digital ecosystem of tools, data, diagnostics, analytics, content provisioning and  personalisation
• Interacting with other digital channels (internal and external 3rd party) to identify needs of customer and propose appropriate stimuli at relevant stage
• Tailoring digital experiences based on customer insights
• Ability to use digital marketing tools
• Experience in AEM will be advantageous
• Gaining insights from digital behaviour

• Solid practical software engineering and programming experience with Web technologies e.g. Web development frameworks, .NET framework, JEE, C#, with at least 3 years as a senior software development engineer and/or technical lead with similar roles.
• Experience developing customer facing applications.
• Solid experience with JavaScript, Angular4, Web Development (client side and serve side)
• Experience with ASP. Net Web API or ASP. Net MVC, OO, WebServices, JSON and REST, NoSQL databases, relational databases (e.g MySQL, DB2).
• Understanding of typical mainframe capabilities (COBOL-applications, MQ, etc.)
• Solid experience with application server development (JEE)
• Successful track record delivering high quality products on time while working in teams and following Agile methodologies.
• Experience with the solution engineering of Banking applications in an integrated Banking environment would be an advantage
