Enrolled Nurse at Anglo American

You will be responsible for delivery of direct/indirect nursing care under the direct and/or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse.

You will also be responsible for:

• The carrying out of nursing care to fulfill the health needs of a patient or a group of patients.
• Caring for a patient, and executing a nursing care plan for a patient, including the monitoring of vital signs and the observation of reactions to medication and treatment.
• The prevention of disease and the promotion of health and family planning by means of information to individuals and groups.
• Promoting and maintaining hygiene, physical comfort and reassurance of a patient.
• Supervision over and maintenance of a supply of oxygen to a patient.
• Monitoring of vital signs and the observation of reactions to medication and treatment.
• The prevention of disease and the promotion of health and family planning by means of information to individuals and groups.
• Preparation for and assistance with surgical procedures and anesthetic.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge required:

• 3 to 5 years experience post registration with SANC.
• Basic understanding of nursing legislation and related legal and ethical nursing practices.
• Trauma experience will be an added advantage.
• Must have the capacity to perform a technical function and work according to scope of practice.
• Must have ability to produce work of high-quality standard by accurately checking processes and tasks.

Qualifications
You should have:

• Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification.
• Enrolled Nurse Certificate and currently registered with the South African Nursing Council.
• Certificate of fitness test will be required.
• Valid driving license
