Job Purpose

• To provide a Comprehensive Nursing Service within the framework of Primary Health Care.

Key Responsibility Areas

•  Weighs and measures clinic attenders.
•  Cleans and sterilizes equipment and dresses minor wounds.
•  Prepares emergency and treatment rooms and clients requesting Tubal Ligation surgery.
•  Performs oral rehydration and diagnostic tests.
•  Collects delivery of pathological specimen with appropriate documentation.
•  Contributes in emergency childbirth and obstetrics.
•  Promotes family planning and health education and implements Tuberculosis programmes.
•  Ensures clinic flow and an efficient and effective clinic service.
•  Maintains books and records.
•  Conducts pre and post HIV counselling.
•  Keeping abreast with new knowledge and procedures

Essential Requirements

•  Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
•  Current enrolment with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse 
• Auxiliary or Assistant.

Preferred Requirements

•  1 Year relevant experience.
