Enrolled Nurse at TB HIV Care

To provide Home and community based care programmes incorporating screening of non-communicable diseases, TB, HIV and STI’s including psycho-social needs within the sub-district.

Minimum Requirements    

• Certificate in Enrolled Nursing
• 2 years’ experience in the capacity of an enrolled nurse
• HIV counselling and testing in public health services.
• SANC registered as an enrolled nurse for the current year
• Fluent in IsiXhosa and/or English languages
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID19

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Provides mentorship to community health workers
• Coordinates and conducts awareness outreach in the community, workplace, tertiary educational facilities and schools in line with the health calendar.
• Appropriate referral of all cases identified in the community
• Ensures that clients referred to the Home and community based care programme are managed
• Promotes service delivery and identifies training needs
• Networking and maintains a healthy and positive relationship with the sub-district
• Administration
• Adheres to Infection control Standards
