Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary (ENA) - General Units at MHR

Introduction    

• Our client, a leader in the private healthcare industry, is urgently looking for an experienced Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary with proven work experience all general wards. This is a permanent position at a private hospital in Panorama in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town

Requirements    

• Valid SANC
• Higher certificate in nursing (or equivalent)
• Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses for specific speciality  areas ( will serve as an advantage)
• 1 year post qualification experience
• 1 year post qualification experience in theatre (will serve as an advantage)
•  Infection prevention and control
• Basic Life Support
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Regulations regarding the Scope of Practice for Nurses and Midwives
• Relevant nursing legislation
• Scientific nursing process
• Risk identification
• Nursing procedures
• Patient observation skills

Key Outputs    
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

• To deliver safe, basic nursing care according to Scope of Practice

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Deliver basic nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety
• Contribute to a positive patient experience by assisting in the creation of a therapeutic environment
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
• Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charted
