Enterprise Architect at IndSAfri

Job Summary:

• As an Enterprise Architect (Cloud), you will play a pivotal role in aligning business strategy with cutting-edge information technology solutions. You will design and implement enterprise-wide technology architectures, focusing on cloud solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support long-term business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Alignment: Analyze the business strategy and translate it into a comprehensive IT strategy that supports the organization’s vision.
• Architecture Development: Design and develop enterprise-wide technology architectures, emphasizing cloud solutions, ensuring coherence, integration, and scalability.
• Governance and Standards: Establish and enforce architecture governance processes, principles, and standards to ensure consistency and compliance across IT projects.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, project managers, and technical teams to understand requirements and communicate architectural visions effectively.
• Cloud Solutions Evaluation: Assess cloud solutions, emerging technologies, and industry trends to inform technology adoption and modernization strategies.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and contribute to risk management plans.
• Technical Due Diligence: Conduct assessments of new cloud business solutions and their impact on the IT landscape.
• Cost Management: Calculate total cost of ownership for cloud solutions and advise on cost-effective implementations.
• Architecture Maintenance: Maintain and mature the architecture capability in line with frameworks such as Zachman and TOGAF.

Qualifications:

• Education: BSc/BCom/BTech/BEng/Honours in Information Systems or Business.
• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred).

Experience:

• Minimum of 12 years in technology roles, with at least 5 years in enterprise architecture and solution design.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation, preferably on AWS and Azure.
• Proven experience in IT architecture governance principles and cloud security concepts.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of cloud concepts, including infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and serverless computing.
• Experience in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to provide cost estimates and design alternative solutions in response to cost increases.
