Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP)-East London at International Association for Impact Assessment South Africa

Job description:

• Compiling of S&EIR, BAR & EMPr or any other statutory documents and reports as required by legislation
• Undertaking of Environmental Rectification Applications (S24G) 
• Compilation of Waste Licence Application
• Conduct Public Participation Process (PPP)
• Conduct Environmental Monitoring and Audits 
• Direct link between clients and various State Departments e.g., DMRE, DWS, DEA, DFFE, etc.
• Project management and Admin
• Compiling EA Applications
• Liaise with Specialists

Qualifications/Experience Required:

• Degree in Environmental Science/ Management or any similar fields. (Post Graduate degree will be added advantage) 
• Knowledgeable in Environmental Legislation such as NEMA, NWA, NEM:WA, NEM: AQA, MPRDA. 
• A good understanding of the whole EIA process (S&EIR, BAR & 24G process)
• Understanding of Environmental regulatory processes (including but not limited to EIA, WUL, BAR, EMP) 
• Strong communication skills and technical writing skill
• Willingness to travel
• Valid driver’s license and able to drive
• EAPASA registered OR Pending approval (Candidates considered) 
• Minimum 2-3 years of working in the Environmental Impact Assessment Field
