ERM Manager // SA at JUMO.WORLD

As ERM Manager // SA you will be accountable for fulfilling & implementing the end to end  Enterprise Risk Management function for the business. You will report to the Deputy CFO.   

You will 

• Review and maintain the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework policies and procedures (including risk tolerance levels, appetite, and key risk indicators) as a guide for current and future business needs. 
• Ensure the elements of the ERM Framework are embedded and operating effectively across the business.  
• Proactively investigate, collate, and analyse risk incidents / risk events perform trend and root cause analysis, including mitigating actions. 
• Support the first line (including IT) in the identification, assessment, and measurement of risks, at the strategic and operational levels utilising appropriate tools and techniques. 
• Facilitating the compilation of strategic and operational risk registers across the business and ensuring that adequate management plans are developed to mitigate these risks. 
• Refine and adapt risk reporting to the Audit & Risk Committee and Board in line with industry best practices and business requirements. 
• Chair and manage meetings. 
• Drive risk awareness training programs.
• Participate in projects and initiatives to bring a proactive risk management focus.
• Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
• Network and engage on a senior level in the organization. 

You will need

• Relevant Degree in Risk Management / Internal Auditing / similar
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working in risk management (including IT) in the Financial services / Fintech industry. 
• Proactive and be able to work with minimal supervision. 
• Knowledge of: 
• Operational risk frameworks and tools
• ISO 31000 and COSO’s ERM Framework
• Corporate governance 
• Business continuity and IT disaster recovery management 
• GDPR / POPIA etc
• IT processes and technologies i.e.) IT operations, information security, project risk management 

Bonus if you have  

• Member of a Professional Body (Risk related). 
• Certification in any of the following will be an advantage: CRISC, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CIA, PECB (ISO).
• Cross border experience working with other markets would be beneficial.

Remote First

You will be based in South Africa.  We operate a remote first working approach where working remotely is our default way of working. We have co-working spaces available in Cape Town for collaboration and connection and for the use of those who value and want to work out of an office. You have flexibility where to work from, as long as you have access to a reliable connection and are set up to work remotely.
