Events Coordinator at Zeitz Museum Of Contemporary Art Africa

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate various private and public tours and complete all administration thereof.
• Coordinate and oversee event setup, tear down and follow-up processes for programming and collaborative events.
• Collaborate and liaise with museum internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all parties' expectations are met, while leveraging relationships to further advance the organization's mission.
• Manage quotes, bookings and billing for events and ensure that all expenditure is within the stipulated budget.
• Provide all necessary information to the Events Manager for regular reporting and analysis.
• Ensure all events are executed successfully, and all aspects, including catering and entertainment, are properly taken care of.
• Create exclusive private tour packages.
• Support the Events Manager to establish and maintain relationships with vendors and venues.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in event coordination
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Event Management, Marketing, or related field
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills
• Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Proven track record of executing successful events.
• Familiarity with fundraising strategies.
