The Events & Partnerships Coordinator will support the planning and delivery of global events and assist with basic partnership and sponsorship tasks. Working closely with the Global Events Lead and cross-functional teams, this role will help with administrative duties, event logistics, scheduling, communication, and general coordination to ensure smooth execution of events and activations. The coordinator will also assist with managing partner information, preparing materials, and helping the team with sponsorship & brand-building activities.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn, with strong communication skills and an interest in events and partnerships within a fast-paced, international environment.
What you'll be doing
Administrative tasks supporting the Events & Partnerships team.
Assist in supporting the end-to-end event lifecycle, including planning, logistics, budgeting, vendor management, and post-event analysis.
Coordinate logistics for global corporate events & partnership activations, including accommodation, travel arrangements, vendor management, and event setup.
Support the creation and maintenance of event timelines, budgets, and checklists.
Assist in coordination of event vendors (equipment, catering, transportation, etc.).
Communicate with event vendors, partners, staff, and internal teams to ensure all event requirements are met.
Provide both on-site and off-site support at global events & partnership activations (may involve international travel), assisting with event setup, attendee check-in, and overall event execution.
Maintain accurate event data, attendee lists, and post-event reports.
Collect and track event feedback to help improve future events.
Other event-related responsibilities, delegated by the Manager/ Head of Department
Assist in delivering best-in-class partnership and account management including: integrated promotions and activations, experiential marketing, branding, digital, social media, television, adverts, retail, appearances, ticketing, hospitality, merchandise, etc.
Monitor sponsorship performance, evaluate return on investment (ROI), and prepare regular reports for management.
Monitor competitor activities and benchmark sponsorship initiatives to maintain a competitive edge.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sponsorship marketing.
Provide administrative support to the Global Events Lead & Global Partnerships Lead for any other events/ activations/ partnerships’ related tasks.
What you'll bring
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
3 years’ proven experience in a related field.
This is a highly detailed-oriented role and prior administrative experience is required.
Full professional fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with employees, vendors, and key stakeholders.
Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively cross-functionally.
Willingness to work flexible hours, work from office and travel across Africa and internationally as required /upon request.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with Google Workspace.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes high-pressure environment.
