Job Description

• An opportunity exists for an Experienced Medical Technologist/Medical Technician to join the team in the Clinical department at our Heart laboratory in Pretoria.
• We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of displaying Clinical competence and who has a high level of ethics and integrity while consistently aligning with the PathCare values.

Key Competency Requirements

• 3-year Biomedical Technology diploma or Medical Technician Certificate in Clinical Pathology
• Current registration with the HPCSA in Clinical Pathology
• Computer literate with Skylims knowledge
• Knowledge/understanding Material Management system
• 3-5 years’ Clinical experience post HPCSA registration
• Ability to review LI Graphs
• Experience in advanced technical instrument
• maintenance and troubleshooting
• Experience in maintaining QA Systems (e.g., SOP’s,
• document control, instrument logs)
• Experience in maintaining QA Systems
• Client-focused with strong interpersonal relations.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Display initiative
• Advanced QC background
• Experience with logging QC tasks
• Advanced problem-solving ability
• Effective verbal and electronic communication skills
• Ability to oversee and train junior staff and students
• Ability to work under pressure and display resilience
• and tenacity in challenging situations
• Result-orientated
• Emotional intelligence
• Must be fluent in English with an understanding of Afrikaans
• Must be prepared to work shifts, weekends & public holidays
