    External Communications Specialist

    The purpose of the role is to deliver impactful external communications and management of all relevant digital platforms. Business Partner to deliver enhanced/seamless employee communications experience.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Completed 3-year Degree or equivalent in Marketing and/or Digital Marketing.
    • An added qualification in Corporate Communications would be advantageous.
    • 5-10 years experience with digital, social media, website content, online campaigns, or PR.
    • Direct experience of creating interactive content across multiple websites/digital channels.
    • Experience with online reputation platforms and Social Media channels.
    • Proven PR experience, an advantage.
    • Proven and demonstrable results in online reputation management, an advantage.
    • Proficient in PowerPoint – for presentations and emailer format, plasma screen moving messages.
    • Should have Digital acumen and Copywriting experience.
    • Good knowledge of communication principles, practices and tools.
    • Profound knowledge of digital communication, social media, online reputation platforms and new media technologies.
    • Public relations (PR) knowledge.
    • Personal Passion for all Digital and Social Media platforms

    Key areas of responsibility:

    Lead on Communication Channels of Social media & Website:

    • Prepare content plans and calendars (including imagery) across channels using content pillars and achieve Corporate Brand objectives.
    • Responsible for community management across digital channels: monitor and respond to posts.
    • Manage these channels and seek ways for optimization/improvement.
    • Responsible for ongoing review of social media best practice and updating the social media strategy and plans when required.
    • Achieve agreed social media/Web objectives (Followers/Likes/Engagement).
    • Responsible for analysis of metrics on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Website and translate into insights to drive improvements.
    • Responsible for communication and corporate brand updates, uploads and management of all relevant digital platforms.
    • Update Executive LinkedIn profiles as required.
    • Design, development and maintenance of various group websites, using both CMS tools and with the assistance of web developers for more complex updates.
    • Manage all new developments to website & communication applications and execute pilots on digital platforms where applicable.
    • Project management – Partner with Internal Stakeholders to execute External communications Projects in line with the Corporate Brand.
    • Manage Social media budget, analytics & ROI.
    • Manage budgets for websites, projects and digital agencies.
    • Assess and investigate legitimacy of new platforms, if required, for: Social, Communication, Engagement, Collaboration.
    • Manage the designated media tracker and monitor external media for trends and insights.
    • Analyze trends of competitive set across digital channels.
    • Execute on Annual Report photoshoots.

    Marketing support of the Logistics Division brands:

    • Responsible for the execution of Vector Logistics integrated communication plan.
    • Responsible for the execution of Empty Trips integrated communication plan.
    • Develop brand plans where necessary.
    • Manage digital platforms, including additional features beyond communications & gather learnings.
    • Ongoing website management and updates as required.
    • Execution of agreed digital strategy.
    • Updated Linked In profiles, as per corporate brand.
    • Execution of agreed Public Relations (PR) to aid in positive growth and perception of the brand.
    • Assist with any creative guidance as per the CI.

    Business Partner to deliver communications excellence across the business:

    • Partner with HR and Marketing to leverage content for the various internal & external platforms.
    • Partner with the Talent team to leverage internal & external activations and campaigns.
    • Ensure all content produced by the team aligns to corporate brand CI.
    • Input on creative direction of HR employee experience branding.
    • Package external content from the programmes for external distribution.
    • Consult on any digital platforms they may utilize to deliver their strategy.
