External Sales Engineer Mechanical Seals at KSB

Key Accountabilities

• Maintain good working relationship with existing customers, and develop new customers
• Be accountable for order intake of KSB’s mechanical seal portfolio and related business
• Knowledge of the design and operational requirements of mechanical seals, pumps and other rotating equipment
• Maintain regular, planned visits and communication with key customers in the area you support
• Conduct detailed product Demonstration to customer & generate enquiries for the product offered
• Educate customers on the quality features and uses of our mechanical seal product range through the full use of KSB marketing strategies
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure customers’ needs and expectations are met
• Able to work independently, efficiently and communicate productively with others
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comply with and enforce all KSB Pumps & Valves (Pty) Ltd policies and procedures
• Carry out all other reasonable tasks that may be delegated from time to time
• Collaborate with the team across the company and contribute to achieve the company targets

EDUCATION:

• Diploma/B-Tech Mechanical Engineering qualification or related field

REQUIREMENTS:  

• Minimum of 3 -5 years’ experience preferably in the pumping industry specializing in mechanical  seals and rotating equipment
• Mechanical seal sales and application
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook,
• MS Project
• SAP- advantageous
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills

• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Time management
• Prioritise and meet deadlines
• Ability to work under pressure, and as part of a team
