    Federal & Provincial ICT Associate - Cape Town

    Description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Providing professional and effective ICT support to all relevant users with regards to applications, equipment and related infrastructure  
    • Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining the network, operating systems, application, software and system management tools 
    • Assisting with the implementation, development, upgrade and subsequent support of all IT business applications

    Requirements

    Minimum requirements:

    • Certificate/Diploma in an ICT related field (Minimum NQF 5)
    • 2 years’ experience in an ICT support role
    • Experience in Microsoft Office software and packages and support
    • Experience in Windows Operating Systems which include issue repairs and installation
    • Experience in network setups and issue resolution
    • Experience in desktop/laptop hardware troubleshooting and issue resolution
    • Knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets memory modules and peripherals
    • Valid driver’s licence with access to a vehicle for daily use
    • Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Smartsheet)
    • Willingness to travel across the province

    • Use initiative in high-pressure situations
    • Work effectively and energetically around a demanding work schedule, including working irregular hours on a frequent basis

    • Apply sound judgement

    • Commitment to the principles, policies and programme of action of the Democratic Alliance
    • Willingness to go the extra mile, which may include working long and irregular hours, weekends, and public holidays where necessary
