Responsibilities

• Process, reconcile, and record accounts payable and receivable transactions with accuracy in line with industry standards.
• Oversee inventory accounting, track raw material costs, and coordinate with production teams to ensure accurate cost allocation.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts by incorporating cost projections for manufacturing, labor, and inventory.
• Conduct daily bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow, and prepare monthly cash flow statements.
• Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other regulatory reports, maintaining compliance with SARS requirements.
• Generate monthly financial reports, including income statements and cash flow statements tailored to manufacturing.
• Analyze cost structures, track operational efficiency, and provide recommendations to control production costs.
• Prepare audit documentation and work with auditors to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with CIMA or similar certification as a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in a financial role, ideally in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory control, and analysis of manufacturing costs.
• Proficiency in South African tax regulations, particularly VAT and PAYE.
• Skilled in accounting software (such as Sage or Pastel) and Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
