    Finance and Payroll Specialist

    Your Role

    • Assisting the Holdings Controller during month-end reporting, including People Management reporting, Income statement and Balance sheet
    • Receivables management
    • Payment runs and Out-of-system payments
    • Cross-border payment document preparation (netting)
    • Journal data preparation
    • Invoicing and Credit notes tcustomers
    • VAT supporting documents as required by SARS
    • Ensuring deadlines are met in terms of financial reporting, payments relating tpayroll, and submission of statutory returns
    • Hands-on and ability timprove efficiency in processes
    • Liaison with external auditors as the need arises

    Monthly payroll function for all business areas in South Africa:

    • Collate payroll information, produce reports, and review monthly payroll.
    • Preparation of and oversee monthly salary and 3rd party bank payments.
    • Leave administration
    • Responding tpayroll-related queries and ensuring ongoing compliance
    • Accurate and timeous delivery of Adhoc, monthly and annual payroll reports
    • Maintaining accurate employee records
    • Attending taudit requirements
    • Maintaining knowledge of relevant payroll legislation and regulations
    • Ensure payroll activities are carried out in accordance with established policies and procedures
    • Input new employees on payroll system as well as changes tinformation
    • Continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems
    • Performing calculations necessary tprocess manual adhoc payments
    • Telephonic confirmation of employment
    • Medical aid and pension fund administration
    • Liaison with 3rd party service providers
    • Ensure accuracy of system calculations
    • Ad hoc tasks (such as UIF administration)

    • Negotiation skills and decision-making ability
    • Must be a team player
    • Grade 12 with a Degree in Finance with minimum 2-5 years’ experience in support & administration for HR and Finance functions
    • Previous experience with data analytics/reporting is a must
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Good communication skills and customer needs orientated
    • Very good level of English in written and spoken form
    • Effective interpersonal skills
    • Ability tmaintain a professional attitude and work independently with minimal guidance in a fast paced and changing environment
    • Exceptionally detailed oriented and organized
    • Self-starter with ability tfinalize initiatives
    • Analytical skills and ability tsolve problems
