Finance Assistant at Onderstepoort Biological Products (OBP)

Introduction

• The Finance Assistant must provide administrative and clerical support to the finance department by assisting with day-to-day finance operations.

Job description

• Capture and process financial transactions accurately
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
• Prepare and issue invoices and follow up on outstanding payments
• Process expense claims and support documentation
• Recording keeping and administration by maintain organise financial records and filling systems
• Reconcile bank statement and petty cash under supervision
• Update financial spreadsheets and accounting systems
• Ensure supporting documents are complete and properly authorised
• Assist in preparing basic financial reports and schedules
• Support month-end and year end closing processes
• Provide information and schedules for audits when required
• Compliance and controls by adhering to company financial policies and procedures
• Assist in ensuring compliance with internal controls
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Minimum requirements

• A Paterson Grade B3 remuneration package will be offered that is commensurate with experience and qualification of the successful candidate.
