Finance Audit & Compliance Accountant at DHL

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely submission of all required documentation.
• Support CRISP compliance, including evidence gathering, remediation actions, and control updates.
• Monitor and close audit findings in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure full compliance with tax laws and submissions.
• Prepare VAT, income tax, deferred tax calculations, and manage e-filing access.
• Coordinate tax queries and audits, ensuring timeous resolution.
• Maintain P2P/RtR risk registers and update local finance policies.
• Support governance activities aligned with global standards and local regulations.
• Prepare finance reports, perform analyses, support board packs, and ensure compliance with IFRS.
• Assist with dividend proposals and simulations for management decisions.
• Ensure proper record‑keeping, approvals, and adherence to SOPs.
• Identify process gaps, drive corrective actions, and support continuous improvement projects.
• Responsible for managing procurement processes including supplier compliance, ISO governance, BBBEE monitoring & reporting, vendor matrix management and procurement training compliance.
• Drive and manage implementation of special projects identified by management.
• Full procurement ownership for the department in collaboration with GBS, including oversight of BEE requirements, ISO compliance, and adherence to Purchasing standards.
• Proactive management of strategic projects aimed at driving cost efficient operations, with a strong focus on identifying and implementing cost saving initiatives.
• First Choice lead for ZA Express, coordinating First Choice methodologies and projects across the department.
• Mentorship and coaching of departmental interns to support talent development and operational capability.
• Value add and Quality of Excellence delivery through driving process efficiency, digitalisation and automation - driving digital mindset and innovation.
• Enhanced support for the annual budget cycle, including advanced financial modelling, scenario analysis, and insights generation to improve planning accuracy.
• Supporting management with business modelling and business re engendering for strategic decision making
• ESG Management and Stewardship, supporting ESG integration in core business strategies moving beyond regulatory and reporting compliance controllers perform.

What We’re Looking For

• Completed Articles with 1–5 years’ experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax laws, and statutory compliance.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• CA(SA) or SAIPA-trained accountant preferred.
