• Sheet Street has an exciting career opportunity available within their finance team for a Finance Business Partner.
• Your purpose is to offer support to the Financial Director. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is of utmost importance.

your responsibilities

Strategy:

• Contribute to the development of the company strategy by providing financial advice, insights and support and ensure communication & a clear understanding thereof throughout the finance team.

Reporting:

• Compilation and submission of reports weekly, monthly, at half-year and year-end and annually (e.g., Group financial reporting pack - board pack, half-year & year-end financial packs, annual budget packs, general ledger, trial balance etc.). to submit to stakeholders to ensure compliance with audit requirements & deliverables.

Analysis:

• Use business insights and provide cost centre analysis against budget to provide feedback and/or recommendations at monthly meetings with the relevant manager

Financial Management:

• Ensure effective control of costs, cash flow management and other finance efficiencies (e.g., monthly forecasting, review of the one-liner, stock levels, stock ageing, etc.) to maintain the businesses general administration.

Payments:

• Approve and release payments to suppliers ensuring that invoices appear on statements and contain correct regulatory information

Financial Packs, BS Revaluation:

• Completion of financial Packs for Foreign Entities at HY & FY. Includes revaluation of the balance sheet to spot rate for countries with exchange rate implications. Compilation of disclosure schedules for Group & external auditors (Legal, consulting, OS Travel)

what are the requirements?

• BCOMPT Honours. CIMA or CA (SA) advantageous
• 1 - 2 years experience
• Advanced Microsoft Office (word, excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Accounting; Commercial Acumen & Intelligence; Communication Skills; Financial Analysis, Planning & Budgeting; Process Knowledge; Risk Management
• Retail Experience; Market Intelligence
