Job Summary

• Responsible for execution of day to day financial operations of the business while ensuring compliance to financial policies and legislations, partner with business leaders to facilitate achievement of optimum business results.

Roles & Responsibilities

Accounting for all transactions – Warehouse Stocks and expenses while maintaining appropriate ledgers and accounting processes.
To ensure compliance with Financial and Cost Accounting Systems and Financial Policies and corporate policies
Timely MIS, Preparation of Financial statements, Cash flows
To participate in periodic audits of systems, accounting records, accounting practices and internal controls with a view to improve accounting, controls and tighten leakages.
Ensure Deliveries only on receipt of cash and bank.
Adherence to Local South Africa laws
To ensure timely submission of taxes and statutory returns
Preparing for and liaising with auditors to ensure a timely yearly audit. 
Managing finance/accounts for stock and sale operations.

•       To monitor and highlight deviations from budget on overheads and determine corrective action with the Finance Manager
•       Inventories: Ensure Physical Verification of Stocks and set Inventory Controls
•       Coordinating with sales teams on receivables and payable

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Preparation of timely and accurate data for monthly MIS/ Financial monitoring
• Capex Control - preparation of detailed and accurate Capex Control Sheet
• Inventory controls
• Monthly Closing of AP & GL entries by 2nd of every month
• Ensure timely release of payments to suppliers/ inter company

Reporting:

• Administrative Reporting: Trading & Sales Manager-South & EAC
• Functional Reporting: Manager-Finance (Africa)

Work Experience

• 5-7 years’ experience of which FMCG, Sales & Distribution will be a strong advantage
• Professional Qualification such as CA, CMA, ACCA.
• Proficiency in MS Office especially advanced Excel and PPT presentations
   

Qualifications

•       Undergraduate in finance from a recognized university

Competencies/Skills

• Hands-on exposure to Tally.
• Domain expert knowledge and relevant experience of financial accounting, business analysis, business planning, forecasting, costing, treasury and taxation.
• Highly Detail Oriented with good analytical, commercially oriented with good grasp of numbers.
• Effective communication and presentation skills. 
• Ability to add value to cross functional BU endeavors.
