The incumbent will be responsible, but not limited to, ensuring the timely and accurate processing and reporting of the company’s financial information through the implementation of effective processes, schedules, and the review of monthly account reconciliations.The incumbent will be accountable for effective strategic financial planning, including the preparation and submission of budgets, forecasts, and comprehensive financial reports for Head Office.Key responsibilities include managing financial systems to ensure complete and accurate accounting records, overseeing system implementation where required, conducting financial analyses, and preparing detailed financial reports and statements. The role will recommend corrective actions where necessary and provide strong leadership in Financial Management.
Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Professional qualification (CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) advantageous
Work Experience
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in financial management.
Experience in leading and developing finance teams
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial software. ( SAP experience advantageous)
Experience in a Private Hospital environment would be advantageous
Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Demonstrated experience in monthly financial reporting and reconciliations
Knowledge
Financial accounting principles and financial reporting standards knowledge
Preparation and interpretation of financial statements and management accounts
Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Financial analysis, variance analysis, and cost control techniques
South African taxation (Income Tax, VAT, PAYE) and SARS compliance requirements
Relevant provisions of the Companies Act and corporate governance principles
Internal controls, audit processes, and financial risk management
Financial systems and ERP platforms
Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling techniques
