Finance Manager at Hire Resolve

• Hire Resolve is seeking a seasoned, hands-on Finance Manager to oversee the complete financial operations of a multi-business manufacturing and laboratory supplies group based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. This full-time, office-based role requires an experienced financial professional with a strong track record in managing complex group structures, substantial annual turnovers, and intricate manufacturing accounting environments.

Key Performance Areas:

• Financial Governance & Group Accounting: Direct the full financial function across multiple business entities, managing complex group allocations, consolidations, and financial reporting.
• Manufacturing Cost & Operational Accounting: Oversee manufacturing financial complexity, cost accounting, inventory valuation, bill of materials (BOM), and variance analysis.
• Strategic Financial Analysis: Evaluate high-turnover financial performance, manage cash flow across entities, and navigate unique, non-routine business scenarios.
• Compliance, Tax & Audit Management: Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, SARS requirements, internal financial controls, and lead external audit processes through to final sign-off.
• Operational Leadership: Provide strategic oversight to the finance department and collaborate directly with senior management on operational growth and risk mitigation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: BCom Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or equivalent (CA(SA) or CIMA is highly advantageous).
• Experience: Extensive career background with at least 20 years’ hands-on financial management experience.
• Industry Exposure: Proven exposure to manufacturing accounting complexity and handling multi-business entity structures with large annual turnovers.
• Working Style: Highly resilient, self-directed leader comfortable managing out-of-the-ordinary operational challenges and complex corporate setups.
• Work Arrangement: Strictly office-based, full-time role in Durban (no remote, hybrid, or part-time options).
