    Finance Manager, Procurement Finance Excellence Team (Africa)

    JOB PURPOSE:

    The candidate is responsible for driving the performance of Africa procurement function and one of the procurement networks through superior analytics and insights. The candidate will play a pivotal role in building the understanding of material cost performance and connecting the procurement forecast to the financial FC and the P&L delivery. The main role would be to:

    • Drive the material cost forecast process for whole of Africa and act as network forecast lead for Packaging and Collaborative Manufacturing

    • Understand the drivers of material impact for the cluster and work with Procurement and SC Finance to provide a clear signal to the business

    • Lead Procurement performance management agenda for Africa and partner the Africa Procurement Leadership Team in the delivery of material cost targets

    • Lead global forecasting process improvement initiatives and simplification projects

    The ideal candidate is required to see the big picture while being capable of drilling down to the details to drive value-focused actions as well as resolving operational issues. Strong analytical skills, good stakeholder management and clear communication are key to succeed in this role.

    MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Material Forecasting

    • Lead forecast cycles for Africa and Procurement network assigned

    • Engage and support buyers to improve quality of the forecast

    • Drive forecast accuracy through buyer scorecards

    • Simplify, improve and execute Light Cycle Forecast

    • Deliver material rates for transfer price updates

    • Understand impacts from key material movements to guide business decision making

    • Monitor saving flow through into material prices to ensure business impact

    Business Connect

    • Partner with Africa Procurement, SCF & SCFS to understand end to end Africa material cost

    • Deliver quality material insights to the business

    • Monitor key material KPIs (NMI, MC%TO, GM) and highlight interventions required to cluster market teams

    Process Improvement Initiatives

    • Lead forecast improvement initiatives across global forecast process

    KEY INTERFACES:

    • VP Procurement

    • Network & Market Procurement Teams

    • PFET

    • Cluster SC Finance Directors and Local Country SCF Teams

    • SCFS

    RELEVANT SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Qualified Accountant with >5 years’ experience

    • Ability to present complex information in a simplified manner (Material insights, link to P&L)

    • Strong analytical skills, Excel modelling skills and attention to detail

    • Resilience (ability to cope with time pressure and challenges)

    • Ability to work collaboratively with other key stakeholders

    • Strong engagement, presentation and communication skills

    • Strong People Management skills to guide and motivate our service providers for superior performance
