About the job
The ideal candidate is responsible for the coordination and execution of account reconciliations, budget compilation, and back-up to the accounts payable function. 

Responsibilities

• Assist with budgets preparation and monitoring of expenditure, Prepare variance report
• Prepare Invoices, Quotes, Purchase Orders and Credit Notes
• Prepare and capture electronic payments
• Prepare and maintain daily recon of cash book
• Reconcile all uncleared cash book entries within 48 hours
• Knowledge of Vat output and Vat input processing
• Capture Cash Receipts and Cash Payments on Sage
• Query all unknown payments / receipts with the bank
• Maintain fixed asset register- addition and disposal of assets
• Maintain weekly Debtors and Creditors Ledger
• Expense reports with regards to projects
• Office supplies Vat or any related vat
• Sage Trial Balance
• Establish well-documented systems for recordkeeping and accounting
• Assist with SARS Submissions – VAT, PAYE , Income Tax
• Research financial variances and analyze financial data
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of general ledger and cash flow statement
• Assist with CIPC return submission
• Conduct internal audits of the organization’s financial and accounting records
• Analyze business operations, financial commitments, costs, revenues, and trends to develop projections for future revenue and expenses
• Ensure compliance with accounting and finance standards, best practices, and government regulations
• Prepare Monthly Management Accounts
• Assist with preparation of AFS

Qualifications

• BCom in Finance, Accounting Sciences, Financial Accounting, Financial Management or equivalent experience in Accounting
• 5+ years' financial accounting experience
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
