Financial Accountant - JHB North at Dark Fibre Africa

Accountabilities & Responsibilities (Key Performance Areas & Tasks)

• Budget, Forecasting, Cash Flow Management and Financial Modelling
• Compile budgets, annually.
• Set up budget for Forecast and FC Management
• Cash flow and Treasury: Prepare, update and maintain an accurate cash flow forecast monthly to arrange debt finance from the consortium of banks as necessary
• Compile financial and valuation model per business specifications

Pricing and Costing Modelling

• Obtain finance approvals: Receive “opportunity” quote from Sales – verify and sign off.
• Follow up on projects to ensure the project goes according to what was modelled.
• Engage and work together with strategy to ensure products are profitable

Feasibility Studies

• Perform feasibility analysis on capex investments.
• Collaborate with Planning and Sales to establish their needs through gathering of relevant information on products.

Data Analysis

• Analyses revenue, operating and capital expenditure data and trends from the past and present to enable business to make informed decisions

ICASA

• Manage ICASA annual levies and licence fees

Process and requisition management

• Ensure the correct allocation of requisitions to correct accounts in general ledger and ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Allocate cost recording in GL

Miscellaneous

• Attend to any other relevant and reasonable tasks as may be required from time to time

Requirements

Knowledge, skills, and qualifications

• BCom Accounting
• At least 3 years in finance and industry focused on products pricing and feasibility models
• Ability to communicate at Executive level
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team context
• An understanding of BEE finance
• Skilled in financial modelling
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong negotiation skills and assertiveness
