Financial Accountant

• Our client, a leader in the power equipment industry based in Kempton Park, Gauteng, is seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.
• In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the full accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting the business through effective financial planning and analysis.

Minimum Requirements:

• Essential: Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles.
• Minimum of 2–3 years post-articles experience, ideally within a commercial environment.
• Hands-on involvement with stock management systems and inventory controls.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Xero Accounting Software.
• Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all accounting transactions.
• Prepare and analyse budget forecasts.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable (sub-ledger and control accounts).
• Review and release timely bank payments.
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Conduct audits of financial transactions and supporting documents.
• Ensure confidentiality of financial data and perform regular backups.
• Ensure compliance with all financial policies, regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns accurately and on time.
• Monitor and manage company cash flow.
• Liaise with external auditors to ensure efficient and timely year-end audits.
• Publish timely and accurate financial statements.
