Financial Accountant at Salt South Africa

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts, reconciliations, variance analysis, and trial balance reviews.
• Manage cash flow projections and compliance with VAT, tax, and SARS submissions (EMP201, VAT201, EMP501, provisional and annual tax returns).
• Oversee financial processes, ensuring adherence to internal controls and best practices.
• Manage forex exposure, interest rate risk, and credit control processes.
• Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Asset Register.
• Lead audit preparations and ensure financial compliance.
• Supervise the Bookkeeper and Office Admin Clerk to ensure accurate and timely financial data.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Completed SAIPA (preferred) or SAICA articles, plus at least three years of post-article experience.
• Strong internal control and financial analysis experience.
• Advanced Excel skills, including reconciliations and data analysis.
• Experience with VAT, tax, SARS submissions, and compliance.
• Understanding of forex, risk management, and interest rate risk.
