Financial Accountant at RPO Recruitment

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and goals.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Monitor and manage financial accounting, reporting, and cash flow.
• Forecast costs, revenues, and project/contract financials.
• Manage tax compliance and ensure tax efficiency.
• Analyze variances and implement cost-reduction strategies.
• Assist leadership with budgeting and financial decision-making.
• Oversee internal audits and coordinate external audits.
• Mentor and develop the finance team.
• Maintain banking relationships and ensure sufficient operational funds.

Requirements:

• Must reside in Cape Town and be a South African citizen.
• Relevant Degree in Finance/Accounting.
• 5+ years' financial experience in the construction industry.
• Proficient in Buildsmart and MS Office.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (verbal and written).
• Valid driver's licence and own vehicle.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• High integrity, confidentiality, and ability to work under pressure.
